IN MEMORIAM: CATHERINE B. ANDREYCAK
(July 3,1957 – March 6, 2017)
Our dear friend, colleague and partner, Catherine B. Andreycak, passed away on March 6, 2017. Cathy joined the Firm as an associate attorney in 1998.
Cathy’s experience spanned all types of real estate transactions. Her critical intelligence, combined with her ability to listen to others and her calm demeanor were key contributors to her success as an attorney and to the culture of our firm. Cathy could attend to details without losing sight of a larger goal and ethical imperatives.
Cathy received a B.A. in History from Fairfield University in 1979 and her law degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1984.
Cathy served for many years on the board of A-Home, a non-profit provider of affordable housing in Westchester County. She also served on the vestry of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Pleasantville, on a parent board advising the Pleasantville School Board on construction of a new elementary school, and on numerous parent and citizen support groups. Cathy’s empathetic and caring character put her at the center of community decision-making, and attracted a wide circle of friends, as well as the devotion and love of her extended family.
Cathy was more than just a law partner. Cathy’s wisdom and strong sense of humanity will remain the guiding principles that she lent to us all and helped us make the firm what it is and will remain.
