Moira S. Laidlaw Chairs NYSBA Elder Law Conference
On November 12, 2017, Moira S. Laidlaw served as Chair for the New York State Bar Association Basics of Elder Law Conference. Ms. Laidlaw also presented the lecture "Ethics in Trusts & Estates" at the conference.

Three SMHAL Attorneys Honored by Super Lawyers in 2017
Shamberg Marwell Hollis Andreycak & Laidlaw is pleased to announce that three of its attorneys have been selected to the 2017 Super Lawyers List.

P. Daniel Hollis III, Business Litigation; Moira S. Laidlaw, Estate Planning & Probate; and John S. Marwell, Land Use & Zoning have been named to the 2017 New York Metro Super Lawyers List.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of "outstanding lawyers in more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement." Each year, no more than 5 percent of the attorneys in New York State are named to Super Lawyers. Results of the rigorous selection process are published nationally, and honor a diverse list of exceptional attorneys.

P. Daniel Hollis III Receives Prestigious WCBA Award
On June 8, 2017, P. Daniel Hollis III was honored at the Westchester County Bar Association’s 11th annual Above the Bar Awards. Mr. Hollis, last year’s WCBA President, received the Pace Setter Award which recognizes overall excellence in professional and community work, prominence in the Westchester legal profession, fierce determination and success at being the best.

Moira S. Laidlaw Speaks at Scarsdale Woman’s Club
On January 22, 2017, Moira S. Laidlaw addressed the Legal & Financial Issues associated with Alzheimer’s Disease for the Scarsdale Woman’s Club. The program, entitled "What is Alzheimer's Disease & What Can You Do About It?”, was part of the Scarsdale Forum Speaker Series, and presented in conjunction with the Hudson Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, of which Ms. Laidlaw is a Board Member.
